James Joseph Torres

"James Joseph Torres, born May 20, 1983, in Los Angeles, CA, passed away peacefully at his home in Downey on June 25, 2025, at the age of 42.

James was the beloved son of Maria Elizabeth Amaya and Maximiliano Enrique Torres, and the proud father of Sebastian Cazares-Torres.

He is survived by his son Sebastian Cazares-Torres, his mother, Maria Elizabeth Amaya, Father Maximiliano Enrique Torres, brother Max Torres, sister Susan Contreras-Torres, sister-in-law Marisol Torres, and his nieces and nephews, whom he deeply loved.

Known for his intelligence, charm, empathy, and adventurous spirit, James was full of life. He loved going to Dodger games, spending time with friends, coworkers, and family and loved to travel and especially cherished every moment with his son, Sebastian. James had a deep admiration for his son, father, brother, sister, nephews, nieces, and a lasting love for his mother.

He deeply loved his mother and son. His memory lives on through the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the joy he brought to all who knew him."
